A couple of weeks ago I got an email from Linked In saying Racetrac (big fan of their stores by the way) was looking for a Real Estate Analyst.

This took me back a few years in my mind because I specifically remembered being rejected for the same job in 2017.

I just went and found the email still in my inbox lol.

As a matter of fact, I remember being rejected by several different companies for similar positions. And several more for random sales positions that I was desperately applying for.

I was going through a rough time back then.

I had already quit the job I had right out of college and was dealing with anxiety related panic attacks almost every time I got behind the wheel which was every day.

This period began a two year stretch of hard lessons learned and getting down to my last few dollars more than once.

I sold real estate. (Barely. Pretty much failed)

I sold insurance. (absolutely hated this but learned a lot about myself while also gaining pretty good phone skills)

I took a stab at a couple of business ideas. (failed)

Had a break up at the end of it all that messed with my confidence.

It wasn’t until mid 2019 that I had enough and started aligning myself with the right people and “playing up a league.”

It’s the very reason I’m where I’m at today and get to surround myself with 6,7,8 figure earners, amazing mothers/fathers, role model husbands/wives, people of faith, my teammates, and clients.

I felt like a massive outcast during that period and sometimes I still do.

But I’ve always bet on me and I always will.

If I had gotten that job at Racetrac (or any of those jobs) it likely would’ve kept me from learning the things I needed to learn at that time.

Now I’ve got God and the right people on my side.

So if you’re going through something, just know that everyone does.

Keep the big picture in mind and keep pushing.

Bet on yourself and have faith.
